BenHeath.AI Privacy Policy

EFFECTIVE 12 JUNE 2026

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how BenHeath.AI ("the service") collects, uses, and protects your personal data. BenHeath.AI is a search engine over Ben Heath's YouTube advertising-strategy videos. The service is operated by Heath Media, a company registered in the United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Heath Media is the data controller.

Effective date: 12 June 2026.

If you have any questions about this policy or your personal data, you can contact us at tom@heathmedia.co.uk.

Who this policy covers

You can use BenHeath.AI in two ways. You can use it logged out, with limited access, or you can create an account using your email address and a password. Account holders can optionally subscribe for unlimited use at $9.99 per month, with payments handled by Stripe. This policy applies to both logged-out and logged-in use.

What data we collect

How we use your data

We rely on the following legal bases under UK GDPR: performance of our contract with you (to provide the service and process payments), our legitimate interests (to secure, maintain, and improve the service and prevent abuse), and your consent where required. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data.

Reviewing questions to improve the service

We may review the questions asked through the service in aggregate to understand how people use it and to improve answer quality, search relevance, and coverage. Where this involves analysis of usage patterns rather than identifying individual users, we work with the data in aggregated form.

Third party processors we share data with

We share limited data with the following service providers, who process it on our behalf so the service can function. Each provider only receives the data needed for its task.

Some of these providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the relevant data transfer mechanisms recognised under UK data protection law.

Data retention

We keep your account data, including your email and hashed password, for as long as your account remains active. We retain your question and answer log and usage data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to support the service, security, and improvement, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Payment records are retained by us and by Stripe for as long as required to meet legal, accounting, and tax obligations. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymise your personal data unless we are required to keep certain records by law.

Your rights under UK GDPR

You have rights over your personal data, including the right to access the data we hold about you, the right to request correction of inaccurate data, the right to request deletion of your data, the right to restrict or object to certain processing, and the right to data portability. You can exercise any of these rights by contacting us at tom@heathmedia.co.uk. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), although we would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.

Cookies

We use a single essential cookie. It is an httpOnly session cookie that keeps you signed in while you use the service. It is strictly necessary for the service to work, so it does not require consent. We do not use any tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.

Children

BenHeath.AI is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you.

Governing law

This Privacy Policy and any dispute arising from it are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
